Cardi B said “okurrrr” to a plea deal in her strip club beating case… and it’s a pretty nice guy keeping her out of jail.
Cardi agreed to plead guilty to 3rd degree assault and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors, and her sentence is 15 days of community service.
She showed up in court on Thursday – all dressed in white – to accept the 11th hour plea deal. Jury selection was supposed to start on Friday and the trial would have started on Monday, but that’s off the table now.
As we reported, Cardi has been accused of ordering an attack about 2 strip club bartenders — Jade and Wicked Gi — in August 2018. She would have thought that Jade had slept with her man, Gap.
cardi has been arrested and booked a few months later for his alleged role in the strip club fight.
As part of the plea, there is also a protective order that requires Cardi to stay away from women for 3 years.
After agreeing to the plea deal, Cardi told us…”Part of growing and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, that’s a practice I try to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I have made bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and assume.”
She added, “These moments don’t define me and they don’t reflect who I am now. I can’t wait to get over this with my family and friends and get back to the things I love the most: music and my fans.”
