Deathloop Coming to Xbox, New Update Will Extend the Ending and More

Microsoft has announced that last year’s PlayStation 5 console exclusive Deathloop is finally coming to Xbox Series X and S. Additionally, it will come with a collection of upgrades that include a newly expanded ending.

Announced as part of the Xbox Tokyo Games Show stream, Deathloop will be available on Xbox Series X/S and via Game Pass on September 20, with preload available now. Although it’s the same game released on PlayStation 5 last year, it comes with all the improvements made since launch, including a photo mode and a suite of accessibility options.

The big news, however, is that a free “Golden Loop Update” has been added, which includes a new weapon, new enemy types, new upgrades, cross-platform matchmaking for PvP, and an ending newly extended. These are all cool additions, but it’s this ending that will interest many: the story’s abrupt conclusion was one of the minor criticisms of our otherwise glowing review.

If you haven’t played Deathloop yet but are a PlayStation user, you might be pleased to know that Deathloop is also coming to PS Plus this month. Bethesda has confirmed that the PS5 and PC versions of Deathloop will also receive Golden Loop updates.
