Lottery ticket bought in N. Charleston leaves woman celebrating

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – A Lowcountry woman says she found her luck when she bought a $10 lottery ticket.

The winner, who chose not to reveal her identity, beat a one-in-a-million chance of winning a $300,000 prize, said Holli Armstrong, spokesperson for the South Carolina Education Lottery.

“I was speechless,” the winner told lottery officials. “It happened just in time.”

His win leaves two more $300,000 top prizes in the Money Mania Extra Play game, Armstrong said.

The Discount Store on Dorchester Road in North Charleston, where the winner purchased the ticket, will receive a $3,000 commission for its sale.
