The clip, which is part of an advertising collaboration with Nissan, shows James jumping into a silver Altima to run errands, catch coffee, play tennis and pick up his girlfriend for a date. Nothing extraordinary, is it? Bad. A moment stuck with fans as they think it might be a subtle hint that he’s going to be a father!
At the final moment of the IG ad, James can be seen loading a baby seat into the car.
“I’m counting on my Nissan Altima to get me where I need to go, so that when that day comes – that’s right, it will come – we’ll have enough room for the whole basketball team,” he said. he throws a smile at the camera.
Although the comment could be interpreted as an attempt to show that the car is family friendly – and that James is looking forward to having children in the future – some fans immediately assumed that James was announcing by Rachel Kirkconnell pregnancy.
Although neither James nor Kirkconnell has commented on the rumors and speculation, well wishes have started pouring in via the comments section.
“I THINK THIS MAN JUST ANNOUNCED A PREGNANCY,” one fan joked.
Another added: “Are you just quietly announcing a baby is on the way?”

A third fan took issue with the way James attached the infant seat, noting that for safety reasons the seat must be “rear-facing”.
Another eagle-eyed viewer pointed out that while no baby announcements were made, the couple have dropped “several baby hints over the past few days.”
A recent photo from the couple’s Disney vacation was captioned “family trip,” though that’s likely because Kirkconnell’s family was with them.
There are also Kirkconnell’s bullish comments to We Weekly on July 15: “The only timeline I gave him was I was like, ‘I have to have kids before, you know, I can’t have kids.’ So keep that in mind.”
Guess we’ll have to wait and see if the couple graces our social media calendars with an official pregnancy announcement in the coming days/weeks.
