Check your tickets! Someone who bought a Powerball ticket in Columbus just won $2 million!
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Someone is waking up $2 million richer after winning one of the top prizes in Saturday, September 10’s Powerball draw.
Ohio lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold at a Duchess Shoppe on West Broad Street in Columbus.
The winning ticket had 5/5 correct numbers, with Powerplay.

Even if you’re not the big winner, it’s always a good idea to check your tickets. The Ohio Lottery says there were 14,276 different winning tickets sold in the state with the different prizes listed below:
- $2 million: 1 price
- $200 prize: 14 winners
- $100 prizes: 30 winners
- Price of $14: 290 winners
- Price of $8: 4,079
- Price of $7: 732
- $4 awards: 9,130
The winning Powerball numbers were 38, 42, 56, 68 and 69, with Powerball 4. The reload Powerplay option was 2.
The jackpot is now around 193 million, which represents a cash value of $105.3 million. The next Powerball lottery draw will take place on Monday, September 12.
Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.00, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of 1 in 302,575,350. $1 million in Powerball is one in 11,688,053.52.
