As early as 2018, William’s wife, Kate Middleton, told reporters that George – who would have been around five years old at the era – called his father by the casual nickname, and that Charlotte and Louis probably do as well, although only George’s use of the nickname was specifically mentioned.

The outlet writes that William, second in line to the throne, is already teaching George, who is third in line, about royal life and preparing him for his own future as king one day. George also honored one of his Pops’ favorite charitable causes, as news recently broke of Charlie Mayhew – chief executive of the charity Tusk, which works to protect endangered species in Africa (and whose William is a longtime supporter) – that George was holding a bake sale during the COVID-19 lockdown to raise money for the organization. William, as part of his ongoing work to protect the environment, has been Tusk’s Royal Patron since 2005, PEOPLE reports.
“George also inherited a number of interests and hobbies from his father,” the newspaper writes. “Like Prince William, Prince George is a huge football fan and was even able to accompany his parents to the Euro 2020 tournament last summer, looking like he grew up in a suit and tie for the games. ” (He sported the same look this month for Wimbledon, another sporting event his parents love and attend regularly.)
